“Cool Girls Don’t Wear Pink” is a passion-driven project that brings together my love for mixed media craft, poetry, and analogue design. It began with a poem I wrote to express my complex and evolving relationship with the colour pink. Serving as both a political statement and an exploration of colour theory, the project challenges the social stigmas and expectations tied to specific colours in Western culture. The final outcome is a screen-printed zine featuring my poem - meticulously laid out using a strict grid system to symbolise societal rules and their influence on me - paired with collaged imagery that represents my rebellion against those constraints.
